Wildfires

Recommendation as submitted by Supervisors Horvath and Barger:  
Direct the Chief Executive Officer, through Legislative Affairs and  
Intergovernmental Relations Branch, to take all necessary actions,  
including sending five-signature letters to seek funding be directly  
allocated to local agencies in Los Angeles County for the 2025 wildfires  
emergency response, recovery, and wildfire prevention efforts as listed  
in the preamble, be sent to President Donald J. Trump, with a copy to  
the Los Angeles County Congressional Delegation and relevant Federal  
agencies, and Governor Gavin Newsom, with a copy to Senate  
President pro Tempore Mike McGuire, Assembly Speaker Robert  
Rivas, the Los Angeles County Legislative Delegation, and relevant  
State agencies; and in consultation with the Directors of Public Works,  
Office of Emergency Management and Economic Opportunity,  
including all relevant Department Heads, to identify legislative and/or  
budgetary requests that are critical for the expeditious recovery of the  
affected communities, including wildfire prevention efforts, and take the  
appropriate legislative advocacy actions to support all response and  
recovery programs and funding for the Los Angeles County wildfires,  
including funding for prevention and efforts to support recovery.

County of Los Angeles Fire Department Partnership with the Los  
Angeles Emergency Preparedness Foundation to Accept Online  
Monetary Donations

Recommendation as submitted by Supervisor Hahn: Authorize the Fire  
Chief to execute an agreement with the Los Angeles Emergency  
Preparedness Foundation (LAEPF) allowing them to manage the  
receipt and disbursement of donor funds on behalf of the Fire  
Department, with an administrative fee at 5% of the collected donor  
funds; authorize the Fire Chief to execute agreement amendments,  
suspension, or termination if deemed necessary; and authorize the  
LAEPF to use the Fire Department’s name and logo in connection with  
the collection and management of the donated funds until the  
termination of the agreement. (25-0577)
